Costco Return / Refund / Exchange Policies
Synopsis
This is an easy return policy with a 30 or 90 day time limit, depending on the item. Online orders may be returned to a warehouse store or shipped back with a provided shipping label.

Costco.ca offers convenient returns at any one of our Costco warehouses worldwide. To expedite the return process, please have your order confirmation email with you. You may use our warehouse locator to find your local Costco, or if you wish to return merchandise directly, contact us at customer service. Please select “Costco.ca Returns” as the subject of the e-mail and be sure to include the product’s item number and your order number to expedite the return process.
If you request an item be picked up for return, the item must be packaged and available for pick up in the same manner as it was delivered. If your order was delivered curb side, it will need to be available for curb side pick up. If the item arrived to you in a box, it will need to be in a box at the time of pick up. Please note that a pick up and refund process may take up to 3 to 4 weeks to complete and you will receive a credit confirmation email the following business after your refund has been processed.

Merchandise: We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell and will refund your purchase price, with the following exceptions:
Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days from the date of purchase for televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPod®/MP3 players and cellular phones and other products identified by Costco from time to time.
Diamonds: When returning items containing a 1.00 ct diamond or larger, Costco will require additional time to verify the diamond, in which case a refund will be approved upon positive verification. This process may require two to five business days.
Costco may in the future restrict its return policy regarding other products. Restriction will be shown at the point of purchase.
We ask that you return all other merchandise within 30 days with a Costco receipt and in the original packaging.

How do I return an item?
Costco.ca offers convenient returns at any one of our Costco warehouses worldwide. To expedite the return process, please have your order confirmation email with you. Use our warehouse locator to find your local Costco. For an immediate refund (including shipping and handling), simply return your purchase at any one of our Costco warehouses worldwide. If you are unable to return your order at one of our warehouses, please contact us at Customer Service or call our Customer Service Center at 1-888-426-7826 for assistance. To expedite the processing of your return, please reference your order number.

We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. The following must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund: televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones.
What is the process if I am expecting a UPS label via email?
You will receive an email from [email protected] with the subject line UPS Label Delivery. This email will contain a UPS label with tracking number. Please be aware that if you have your junk mail settings on high, the e-mail may be deleted by your ISP as junk mail before you see it. To assure you get your labels, please add [email protected] to your address book or your safe sender list.
The UPS label within the email will be available for printing for 10 days. The label itself should be used within 20 days after receipt of the email.
You can then take the item to a UPS drop off location in your area, with the UPS label(s) attached to the box(es) or can contact UPS directly to set up a pick up day. Please note that a specific time can not be arranged. Click here to locate a UPS drop location in your area.
You will receive multiple emails, each containing one label, when you are returning more than one item or box.
Are there special instructions if I have multiple items/multiple boxes to return?
Each item should be packaged and returned in its original shipping box.
When multiple items are being returned at the same time please help us by ensuring that proper return documentation is attached to each box.
The labels you receive will include an item # corresponding to the item being returned.
How do I return product that was delivered by a large freight carrier?
Once you have notified Costco.ca of your desire to return the product, you will be contacted by a carrier to arrange a date for a pick up.
The item must be packaged and available for pick up in the same manner as it was delivered. If your order was delivered curbside, it will need to be available for curbside pick up.
The shipping box and product are both damaged, what should I do?
Please notify Customer Service or call our Customer Service Centre at 1-888-426-7826 to report the damage.
For small carrier delivered packages (UPS, FedEx), please keep the product in the original shipping box.
A member of the Costco.ca returns team will arrange for pick up by the carrier method used on the original shipment.
My package is lost, what happens next?
Please contact us at Customer Service or call our Customer Service Centre at 1-888-426-7826 for assistance.
I am expecting a replacement. What do I do with the original damaged or defective product?
A member of the Costco.ca returns team will contact you to coordinate the return of product. Please do not take this product back to your warehouse.
Are there special instructions if UPS will be coming by to pick up the product?
If special circumstances require a UPS pick up, we will send a pick up request to UPS.
- UPS will make their first attempt to pick up, one to two business days following our request.
- If the product is not available for pick up, a notice will be left on your door.
- UPS will make three attempts to pick up the return.
- Please contact us if you have missed the UPS pick up three times so that we may request additional attempts.
- If you have more than one box for your return, UPS will have a label for each box.
When can I expect to receive my refund?
We will refund you for the total purchase price of the item including the shipping and tax as soon as we verify that the item has been returned.
