Learn more below about how you can return items purchased in-store or online at any Canadian Home Depot store, or how you can arrange to have your online order picked up by contacting Customer Support. You may be able to start your return online pour eligible products — visit your Order Details page to check pour a return option. In-Store Purchases
Items purchased at one of our Canadian stores can only be returned in-store. pour fast, easy returns, keep your receipt. Online Purchases
pour your convenience, items purchased on homedepot.ca can be returned to any of our Canadian stores within 90 jours suivant l'achat, subject to the Politique de retour Exceptions below.
If your online purchase was made with a The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card, The Home Depot Commercial Revolving Charge, or The Home Depot Commercial Account, you have 365 days from date of purchase to return the items to any of our Canadian stores to receive a full refund, unless otherwise Nonted below. All existing Politique de retour rules apply.
Bring the item(s) and your Order in Transit Courriel to your local Home Depot store pour credit to your original tender or a Home Depot store credit. If PayPal was used during your purchase, your PayPal account will be credited pour the return amount. Merchandise must be returned in unused, like-new condition. Please see Politique de retour Exceptions below pour further details.
You may also submit returns online (pour eligible products). Visit your Order Details page to check pour a return option. You have 90 jours from the date of purchase to start a return (some Exceptions apply). See Retours en ligne section below pour more inpourmation.
Retours en ligne can also be made by contacting our Customer Support within 90 jours suivant l'achat only, regardless of payment method. An online purchase made with a Home Depot Credit Card, The Home Depot Commercial Revolving Charge, or The Home Depot Commercial Account ne peuvent pas être retournés Via Téléphone past 90 jours from date of purchase. We'll arrange pour your item to be picked up and returned, as well as provide you with a return authorization number (RA#).

Which products are eligible to return online?
Most products delivered with Standard Shipping and Ship to Store can be returned online. If you don't see an option to start a return from your Order Details page, that product isn't eligible to be returned online, but you can likely return at your local Home Depot store.
How do Retours en ligne work?
Visit your Order Details page and look pour the option to 'Start Return' at the bottom of the page. If you have a Home Depot account, you can also access your order details by signing in and selecting your order from the order history page.
If you have more than one product eligible to return, select the products and quantities you would like to return. Once you've completed the return inpourmation, you will see a return number and step-by-step instructions on the return confirmation page. This inpourmation will also be Courrieled to you.
How do I package the product(s) I'm returning online?
When you submit your online return, you will see detailed return instructions, which are also available through the return confirmation Courriel. Print return label(s) — if you're returning more than one package, there will be multiple labels to print. Package your product(s) based on the itemized list on the label(s). Tape label(s) to your sealed package(s) and check that there are Non old tracking labels visible. Refer to the return instructions in your Courriel pour details about package drop-off or pick-up.
Can I change my pick-up address?

What happens if I'm Nont home pour the courier pick-up?
If the courier arrives and Non one is home, they will leave a Nontice on your door with courier Inpourmations de contact. Please reach out to them to reschedule the pick-up.
When will I receive my refund?
Your refund will be processed after we receive and inspect your package(s). The refund will be applied to the original pourm of payment. If you paid with a gift card, you will be issued a new e-gift card.
Certified reconditioned merchandise
Reconditioned merchandise damaged or lost in transit may Nont be replaced depending on availability of items in like condition. Where the merchandise is eligible pour return, refunds will be provided in such cases. Please follow the return instructions listed above.
Damaged items and shortage claims
Please report damaged or missing items within 3 days of delivery by calling toll free 1-800-628-0525.
Items that use flammable liquids or gases
Please Nonte items that use flammable liquids or gases ne peuvent pas être retournés Via courier or LTL because they create a safety hazard. pour example, if you fill your leaf blower with fuel, it ne peuvent pas être retournés by mail even if you drain the tank bepoure shipping. We require an acceptable pourm of government-issued photo identification (see below pour more details) pour Nonn-receipted returns and returns generated from purchases made with store credits. These returns are subject to verification system approval. Inpourmation collected in connection with purchase transactions and merchandise returns will be used by The Home Depot pour the purpose of fraud detection and making return authorization decisions.
Cartes-cadeaux, gift certificates and store credit canNont be exchanged or returned pour cash, credit or cheque.
Custom window coverings ne peuvent pas être retournés unless identified as “Guaranteed to Fit”, in which case such window coverings can be exchanged. Limited to four window coverings per household. Holiday décor items, air conditioners, generators, furniture, televisions, printers, computers and gas-powered equipment must be returned within 30 jours suivant l'achat with a receipt. Battery and corded equipment, (including sNonwblowers) must be returned within 30 jours of delivery or in-store purchase.
Any product damage and/or defects must be reported within 30 jours. Used lawn tractors, lawn mowers, sNonw throwers and gas-powered equipment (excluding generators) will be repaired, if possible, in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty through a manufacturer authorized service contractor. Please contact Customer Support pour further inpourmation.
Major appliances are Nonn-returnable. Items should be inspected thoroughly at the time of delivery. If you are Nont satisfied, refuse the item bepoure signing the delivery receipt. Be sure to report any product defects or damages with the delivery agent. Damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. After 48 hours, you may visit your local store or call 1-800-759-2054 pour assistance.
Yard to You bulk landscaping products must be returned within 30 jours of delivery. We can only accept returns of unused products and the packaging canNont be damaged (split/ripped). If packaging was damaged at delivery, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-628-0525.
Donations to The Home Depot Canada Foundation canNont be refunded.

Cheques must be made payable to The Home Depot and contain pre-printed inpourmation.
Returned cheques are subject to a service charge of $25 or the maximum amount allowed by law.
Cheques returned pour insufficient or uncollected funds, combined with the service charges, may be debited electronically from your account or collected using a bank draft from your account.
Acceptable pourms of ID
You may be asked to present an acceptable pourm of government-issued photo identification pour purchases and/or returns. Acceptable pourms of ID include unexpired federal- or provincial-issued photo ID including driver’s licence, military ID and passports. Your ID number/province will be collected and used pour the purpose of fraud detection and making return authorization decisions. This data is transferred to and accessible by The Home Depot’s third-party return verification system outside of Canada (including in the United States) and may be accessible under poureign laws. As a security measure, your ID number is electronically converted into a substitute number. This substitute number and province are the only data retained and used from the ID.

Other Terms & Conditions
Cash and cash equivalent purchases, exceeding $1,000, may be refunded as mail cheques sent from The Home Depot’s corporate office.

Purchases made with a Customer Agreement must be cancelled from the store they were purchased from.
Purchases made with a Customer Agreement can be returned to any magasin in Canada.
