Return Policy If I buy something from Walmart, can I return or replace it? Yes (with just a few exceptions). Our return policy is the same for both online and in store purchases with just a few minor differences: Online purchases: the return timeframe begins on the date of your order’s arrival. In store purchases: the return timeframe begins on the purchase date. Make sure to bring along your proof of purchase. The standard Walmart Return Policy outlined below applies to purchases which are sold and shipped by Walmart as well as Marketplace items shipped and fulfilled by Walmart. The Marketplace Return Policy applies to purchases which are both sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers. The Fulfilled by Walmart Return Policy applies to items sold by Marketplace sellers that are shipped and fulfilled by Walmart. The Holiday Return Policy may extend your return period during the holidays. Walmart Standard Return Policy Almost anything you buy from Walmart, whether purchased in-store or on Walmart.ca (that are fulfilled by Walmart), can be returned or replaced within 90 days with the exception of a few items listed below. Items marked with an asterisk (*) must be returned unopened (see Note 1). If an exact replacement is not available, a refund may be issued. Note 2: Subject to applicable legislation. Conditions may vary by carrier. See plan terms and conditions. Note 3: Appliances and Accessories include but are not limited to: Toasters, Blenders, Bread Makers, Can Openers, Coffee Makers, Coffee Filters, Carafes, Cookers, Fryers, Microwaves, Ovens, Coolers, Dehydrators, Food Processors, Mixers, Juicers, Grills, Irons, Dishwashers, Freezers, Refrigerators, Vacuums, Sewing Machines, Cutting Machines, Air-Conditioners, etc. Note 4: If opened, can only be exchanged for replacement with an identical item or suitable substitute of equal price. Note 5: Personal care items include but are not limited to: feminine care, hands and feet, incontinence, massage and spa, men’s grooming, oral care, hair removal, hair accessories, hair color, hair appliances, personal wash, styling, skincare, deodorants, perfumes, baby needs, care travel kits, face masks, etc. Note 6: If the Plan is cancelled within ninety (90) days of the receipt of the Plan, the customer shall receive a full refund of the price paid for the Plan, provided no service has been performed. Note 7: Includes purchases at Walmart pharmacies and on Walmart Digital Pharmacy. Prescription medication cannot be returned. For any issues pertaining to prescriptions, please see a Pharmacist at a Walmart Pharmacy location. Note 8: Alcohol sales are final with the limited exception of Returns due to a product quality concern. Such items must be returned within 90 days from the date of purchase to the same Walmart store where the Alcohol purchase was originally made. Note 9: Walmart Gift Cards are final sale however customers in the province of Quebec who have a balance of $5.00 or less, and customers in the province of Ontario who have a balance of $2.00 or less, on their Walmart Gift Card are entitled by law to a refund of such balance upon request. Note 10: Free replacement period: Batteries that fail within the free replacement period specified on the battery label are exchanged (not refunded) at no charge to the customer. Pro-rata credit: Batteries that fail outside of the free replacement period but before the expiry of the warranty point may be eligible for a pro-rata credit to be applied to the purchase of a new battery. Refer to the Battery policy on Walmart.ca for full terms and conditions. Note 11: Can be exchanged if worn out before the child outgrows the item. If identical item is not available in identical size, Walmart will substitute a similar item of equal size and price. Items purchased through Walmart.ca, that are fulfilled by Walmart, that must be returned to the store (online order number required): Fuel Powered Equipment: All fuel powered equipment. If an item has been filled with fuel it cannot be returned by mail even if the tank is drained before shipping. Dangerous Goods (containing chemicals, compressed gases or liquids, lithium battery): For example: Aerosol cans, household cleaners, cellphones, laptops, iPads, tablets, etc. These must be returned in original packaging. Items purchased through Walmart.ca, that are fulfilled by Walmart, that cannot be returned to a store: Oversized and Overweight Products: Oversized or overweight products, such as full-size mattresses and large appliance items, weighing greater than 100 lbs or larger than 40” by 48” require a scheduled return delivery. Online Purchases from Marketplace Sellers See our Marketplace Return Policy for items both sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers. Please note that Marketplace items which are shipped and fulfilled by Walmart are covered under the standard Walmart Return Policy outlined above. Replacements Item replacement eligibility follows the Walmart Standard Return Policy. If an item is not eligible for a return, it will not be eligible for a replacement. We want you to love what you bought, so we offer the following satisfaction guarantees for children’s clothing, exclusive brands to Walmart Canada, as well as produce, meat, and seafood with the following conditions: Children’s Clothing & Footwear (excluding Accessories): Children Clothing, Sizes 0-16 Children Footwear, Pre-walk Toddler, Sizes 0-10 Children Footwear, Boys Youth, Sizes 1-6 & 11-13 Children Footwear, Girls Youth, Sizes 1-4 & 11-13 Can be exchanged if worn out before the child outgrows the item. If identical item is not available in identical size, Walmart will substitute a similar item of equal size and price. Produce, Bakery, Deli, Meat & Seafood No Time Limit. Please note that for Online Grocery Delivery orders, online refund requests are only available for three days after the delivery date. Exclusive Walmart Brands No time limit with exception of ONN / Black Web merchandise which has a 1-year guarantee from date of purchase on receipt, and EverStart batteries which have a variable guarantee period as indicated on the battery itself. Valid proof of purchase must accompany the product in all cases. What is the return policy for third party items? Online purchases sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers follow the Marketplace Return Policy. Holiday return policy How long do I have to return an item? With proof of purchase, any unopened items outside of the 90-day return period that are purchased between November 1 and December 25, the return period begins on December 26. This excludes items sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers as well as contract post-paid wireless devices. Final sale exceptions still apply. Items with a return period of 30 days: eligible to return until January 24, 2025. Items with a return period of 14 days: eligible to return until January 8, 2025. Items with a return period of 90 days: extended holiday return policy does not apply. Please note that return policies for items sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers may differ.
