Macy's Return Policy We want you to love your purchase, but if you are not completely satisfied, we gladly accept most returns by mail or in-store within 30 days of purchase. See below for exceptions. Click here to start a return. Store returns are free. Star Reward members receive free return shipping. Non-Star Reward members will be deducted a $9.99 return shipping fee plus tax, where applicable, from your refund. Click here to become a Macy's Star Rewards member today! Return Conditions Returned items must be in original, saleable condition with original tags. Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable. New or gently used cosmetic or fragrance products purchased at Macy's that do not meet your needs will be accepted for return. Items purchased in a store must be returned to a store. Items purchased online can be returned to a  store or by initiating the return online. Items shipped and sold by Third Party Sellers can be returned to a store or by initiating the return online. However, it is recommended to initiate the return online. Gift Registry Returns The time limits for gift registry returns are calculated from the event date: If the item was purchased prior to the occasion or event date, items may be exchanged or returned (with receipt) 90 days from the event date. If the item was purchased after the occasion or event date, items may be exchanged or returned (with receipt) 90 days from the purchase date. Buy One Get One (BOGO) Returns When you purchase items as a Buy One Get One offer, the discount reflecting the price of the lowest-priced item is proportionally applied to each eligible item. If any item is returned, the refund will be equal to the original price of the item reduced by the proportional discounted amount. Here are some examples: Buy One, Get One Free: If your qualifying items are $30 and $20, the discount will be $20 and spread proportionally across both items. The $30 item will be reduced by $12 and the $20 item will be reduced by $8. The original $30 item will result in a refund of $18 and the original $20 item will result in a refund of $12. Buy One, Get One 50% Off: If your qualifying items are $30 and $20, the discount will be $10 and will be spread proportionally across both items. The $30 item will be reduced by $6 and the $20 item will be reduced by $4. The original $30 item will result in a refund of $24 and the original $20 item will result in a refund of $16. Exceptions to the Return Policy Departments Additional Conditions Area Rugs Note: Delivery fees and surcharges will not be refunded on Area Rugs. Returns based on preference must be returned in the original condition and include packing materials. Online purchased Area Rugs: Returns can only be made by mail or at select Macy’s stores with a Fine Rug Gallery department. Contact Customer Service at 800-289-6229 Monday - Sunday, 8am - 10pm ET within 30 days of delivery to request a return. In-Store purchased Area Rugs: Returns can be made at The Fine Rug Gallery located in select Macy's stores within 30 days from receipt. Contact us at 888-241-8288 (available Monday - Sunday, 8am - 10pm ET) to arrange a pickup for your return (pickup fees may apply). Altered or Personalized Merchandise Altered or Personalized Merchandise are final sale. No returns, exchanges, or price adjustments are allowed. All Mattresses Try for 120 days, and if not completely satisfied you have 14 days to contact Macy’s Customer Service to schedule a one-time re-selection or return. The bedding must be undamaged, unsoiled, and free of stains. Worry No More® Protection plan fees will be refunded so long as the complimentary mattress pad is also returned. Please note that your delivery fee will not be refunded. A $99.00 pickup fee will be charged and a 15% preference fee will apply. Merchandise must be unworn and unaltered with original tags attached and be accompanied by the original receipt and may only be returned to a Macy's Backstage location. bluemercury Merchandise bluemercury merchandise can be returned by mail, or to a Macy's store with a bluemercury shop. We are unable to accept merchandise purchased from bluemercury stand-alone stores. Designer Merchandise Burberry accepts returns of unused and unaltered items for exchange or refund within 14 days of purchase (regular and sale priced) only at Macy's Herald Square. All returns must have the Burberry tags and, where applicable, hygiene seal is attached and be accompanied by the original receipt. Please note it is not possible to refund or exchange personalized items and, in the interest of hygiene, pierced earrings. Louis Vuitton All merchandise (except personalized and made-to-order items) may be exchanged or returned for a full refund within 30 days of the original purchase date when accompanied by the original sales receipt. All merchandise must be in perfect sellable condition. For fragrance returns, the crystal packaging and/or packaging with stickers and adhesive labels must remain sealed, unopened, and not tampered with for an exchange or refund to be accepted. Any fragrance purchases with customized engraved bottles are not eligible for exchange or refund. Merchandise purchased at Macy's Louis Vuitton may only be returned at Macy's Roosevelt Field. Longchamp merchandise can be returned within 30 days to Macy's Herald Square. Fine and Bridge Jewelry and All Watches Jewelry and watches can be returned with price tags attached within 30 days of purchase. If a piece of jewelry or a watch is returned, the item undergoes an inspection process that lasts up to 14 business days. Credit will be issued after the inspection has occurred. Special order merchandise and items that have been altered for size are not eligible for return or exchange. Finish Line Finish Line merchandise purchased from Macy's accepted for return within 30 days of purchase as long as your item is unworn and in saleable condition. Free Return Exclusions Free Returns do not apply to lamps, wall mirrors, furniture, beds, or area rugs. Food Beverages and Live Plants Food, beverage, and live plants items are not eligible for return or exchange. Gift Cards Electronic Gift Card and Physical Gift card items are Final sale. No returns, exchanges, or price adjustments are allowed. Items Shipped and Sold by Third Party Sellers Items shipped and sold by Third Party Sellers must be returned directly to the seller within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will be processed when the item is received by the seller. Free returns can be initiated online in your purchase history and are processed more quickly than in-store returns. Dyson and Mac Duggal are excluded from the extended Holiday Return window and remain eligible to return 30 days of purchase. No returns, exchanges, or price adjustments are allowed. Gourmet Gifts Gourmet Gifts merchandise is not eligible for return or exchange. Gift with Purchase If you return the qualifying item(s) the bonus gift(s) you received must also be returned. If you return the qualifying item(s) without the bonus gift(s) your return may not be processed or you may be charged for the bonus gift(s). LensCrafters @Macy's You can return your eyewear for a full refund or replace them within 30 days of the dispense date, which is the day they arrive at your home or the day you purchase them in-store. Note: Eyewear purchased online must be returned directly to the vendor via mail and cannot be returned to Macy's store. Lighting Lighting returns due to customer preferences must be made by contacting Customer Service at 800-289-6229 within 30 days of receipt, Monday - Sunday, 8am - 10pm ET. Must be in original condition and with original packaging. Can't be returned to the store or furniture galleries. Shipping fees and surcharges will not be refunded. A restocking fee of 15% will be assessed. Lids Merchandise Must be returned to the vendor by mail only. This item cannot be returned to Macy's stores within 30 days from the purchase date. Macy's Beauty Box Macy's Beauty Box merchandise is not eligible for return or exchange. Macy’s Bridal Salon by Demetrios All sales are final and are not eligible for return. Maternity Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of purchase and must be in saleable condition with tags still attached. Items are not returnable if worn, altered or tags removed. Pandora Jewelry All returns/exchanges must be made at Pandora Shops in Macy’s stores that carry Pandora Jewelry. ReBag (pre-owned merchandise) Returns must be mailed back to the seller within 30 days of purchase, if you are not satisfied with your pre-owned watch, jewelry, or handbag purchase. Please ensure the tags remain attached, the item is unaltered, and all original paperwork, receipt, and packaging are included in the return packaging. Returns are NOT accepted in-store. Sunglass Hut Return of merchandise, in original condition, must be within 30 days of purchase. Sunglasses should be returned to the SGH shop inside Macy’s. Tech Watches Tech watches with original tags and packaging can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Special order merchandise and items that have been altered for size are not eligible for return or exchange. The Fine Rug Gallery Customer must contact us within 30 days of purchase or delivery if items do not meet expectations. We will accept rugs for return only with a valid receipt and only in unused and undamaged condition. If you’d like to return your purchase without selecting a new or replacement rug, any delivery fee paid will not be refunded. Returns or exchanges can only be accepted at The Fine Rug Gallery, at select Macy’s stores. Final Sale Rugs: All Last Act! Rugs are Final Sale and sold in “As-Is” condition and are not subject to further service, cancellation or return. No returns, exchanges, or price adjustments are allowed. Returns must be made within 180 days of purchase. Note: Shipping fees are not refunded for returns based on preference. All European Union customers have the right to back out of a purchase within seven days of completing the transaction (e.g. placing the order on the website). If a European Union customer cancels their order during this 7-day period, Borderfree will reimburse the customer for the cost of the product(s) AND any extra fees (e.g. shipping) paid by the customer to receive the item. Borderfree can charge the customer for cost of shipping goods back to Borderfree. Reimbursement by Borderfree will be made within 30 days.
